I’m a botanical artist with a passion for watercolor and oil painting. Creating botanical paintings brings me peace and joy, and allows me to connect with the beauty of nature every single day. My goal is to capture that beauty in my work and share the same sense of wonder and tranquility with others.

I was born in sunny Sicily and grew up on my grandfather’s farm, surrounded by animals and vast fields that served as my playground. It’s no wonder I’ve always been drawn to nature! This love shines through in my paintings, which often feature floral themes, animals, and insects.

Creativity has always been a part of me. As a child, I spent hours with crayons, watercolors, and collages made from paper, leaves, and dried flowers. But as I grew up, practicality took over, and I pursued a “sensible” career — studying Microbiology and working as a scientist for nearly ten years. Art was tucked away, waiting patiently in the background.

It wasn’t until I turned 45 that I decided to follow my heart. I enrolled in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh Certificate in Botanical Illustration, graduating with distinction. Since then I've been painting every day.

Alongside my art, I’ve also become an online teacher, offering courses on Skillshare. I want to share my passion for botanical art because no one should have to give up their creative dreams!
